Double_Peg
The Double Peg (less commonly known as a 50/50 Grind ) is a peg trick where you stall or grind both pegs one on side of the bike at the same time. It is probably the easiest stall on a quarter pipe, and is therefore the first peg trick most riders learn on ramps. It is also the way most riders drop in to Quarter Pipes, until they learn how to roll in.How-To Double Peg Drop In
The best way to learn this trick is to learn how to get out of it first. Stand on top of the deck of the Quarter Pipe and put the pegs of your bike on the coping. Use whichever side you are more comfortable with. Put your pedals how they normally would be when you ride, and put your foot on the pedal that is resting on the deck. Keep all your weight on this foot, and lift your other foot up and over the bike and put it on the other pedal. You should now be sitting on the coping, with your feet on the pedals how they normally would be when you ride, with your pegs on the coping. Get comfortable being in this position. Once you are ready to drop in, start leaning into the ramp with your head first. Follow with your shoulders, then your hips. As soon as you feel your bike starting to slide off the coping, or you feel like you're about to fall straight to the ground, pull the bike off the coping, turn the bars, and ride down the ramp. ''Common Mistakes:''- You MUST lean your body into the ramp first, and then your bike. Not leaning enough will cause you to slide out.
- Do not let the bike come off the coping until you are falling into the ramp.
How-To Double Peg Stall or Grind a Ramp
''Prerequisites: Double Peg Drop In'' For a stall, approach the ramp with a little less speed then you would need to carve it to the top. For a grind, go as fast as a normal carve. Ride straight up the ramp for a stall, carve the ramp for a grind. When your front wheel is almost at the coping, pull off the ramp a little, turn in the air the direction you would carve, pull your legs up into your body, and land both pegs on the coping. Do not let your weight keep going forward into the ramp, keep your weight away from the coping. Drop in. ''Common Mistakes:''- Do not go fast. Going too fast will cause you to fall and put your foot down.
- Lean away from the ramp as you hop up to the coping.
- Do not take your foot off the pedal.
How-To Double Peg Grind a Ledge or Rail
''Prerequisites: Feeble Grind on a Ledge'' Approach the ledge at the same speed and angle as you would for a Feeble Grind. Bunny Hop towards the ledge, and land both pegs on it, preferably at the same time. Keep your weight over your back peg and away from the ledge, so that your front peg doesn't catch. Grind as long as you can, and hop off.How-To Double Peg Stall a Ledge or Rail
Ride directly towards the ledge. About a foot before your front wheel would hit it, Bunny Hop and spin ninety degrees. Land both pegs on the ledge, preferably at the same time. Keep your weight leaning far away from the ledge, so you don't fall over. Bunny Hop off, and pedal away. ---- Tricks»»Tricks#Lip Tricks|Lip Tricks»»Tricks#Grinds|Grinds Tricks»»Tricks#Lip Tricks|Lip Tricks»»Tricks#Stalls|Stalls
