Fufanu

The Fufanu is an evolved version of an Old School trick called a Kick Turn. A fufanu is when you do a stall on something or other (ie; a Quarter Pipe, a bank, a ledge, a rail) on the back tire, and then 180 out of it, and land forwards riding away from the object. It is often confused with an Abubaca, but the difference is you don't 180 out of an Abubaca.

How-To Fufanu

To do a Fufanu, approach the lip of the intended object at a comfortable speed. Using the corner of the object, as in the coping or subrail, land on it with your backtire at a slight angle, and apply the back brake and hold your crank arms in place. Lean back putting most of your weight over your backtire. Look over the shoulder of the direction you spin and 180 out so that your heading back from where you started. For extra points make the transition re-entry as smooth as possible. ---- Tricks»»Tricks#Lip Tricks|Lip Tricks»»Tricks#Stalls|Stalls
